Every vendor going wants to sell footpegs for $190-$300 US for these bikes. Ebay, Amazon, and other sites are flooded with variations of billet aluminum pegs like this: http://a.co/d/blsQdbT that are a fraction of the cost - $25-50. I get that a stainless peg is a better peg, but I also know that people reviewing the aluminum pegs are completely happy with them, as long as they fit. Some issues with traction pins falling out but a little locktite will fix that.
Hi, I’m setting up a new bike for rally’s.
I previously used trail tech vectors on my old 520 several years back and wanted to set this one up better.
If you use 2 icos are you resetting the distance on 1 at every call in the notes ? And the other just continues counting the accumulated distance.
Well, I had a friend send me a picture the other day of a cheap bike someone had listed on Facebook for real cheap . So I came home and let the wife know I had decided to spend what little money we had saved on a project. She wasn't happy. But what can she Do?

So I brought this nasty thing home for the high price of 320 dollars . We had to drag it to the truck. I assumed because the chain was so rusted that it just wouldn't budge. You know how it goes the guy...
The draft is on, we missed some OTA action.
Best QB class since 1983?
Early picks show teams are hopeful.
Did the Browns pick another headcase or a superstar?
Will it be the year of the bird's?
Will the Cowboys win more than 8?
Will the Raiders.......probably nothing to see there.
LA, do they have enough football teams?
Will Gronkowski play or become a donut exibitionist full time?
The year of the phoenix....he crashed, he burned, he returns....Johnny Manziel?
Okay Nighthawk owners, come out of the closet! Let's have our own thread to celebrate one of the most underated bikes ever. Post you're pics and any Nighthawk discussions. Here's my new (to me) 2003 750
Done so far:
EBC HH brakes, Russell Stainless lines, exhaust baffles drilled (see nighthawk750.com) GPS added, Uni filter
Things on order:
New tank (mine is dented), 14T front sprocket, carb jets and shims,
Near future: Progessive Suspension shocks and springs.
I have a 1988 NX650 and I had a crazy thing happen today on a ride. I came to a stop sign and when I went to take off the bike went to full throttle. I pulled the clutch in and shut the key off. I could hear what sounded like a vacuum blead off coming from the motor. The bike still has all the smog stuff on it and has ran good since I got it. I wondering if some how I built up vacuum and it pulled the slide up. I started the bike up and rode it home with no issue.
When I turn the unit on, then go to Waypoint Manager screen, then search menu, the screen will freeze after a few moments(less than a minute). At which point the only way, i know of to exit this menu, is to shut down the unit by pulling the battery. So far this problem only occurs at the Search menu of Waypoint Manager screen.
Any thoughts/ideas to solve this issue? I'm trying to stay away from a hard reset. Also, I updated the 610 software yesterday.
I just purchased a 1981 Honda XL185s. I am hoping for some input/suggestions regarding items that appear to be missing, non-original, or are good things to modify. My first bike and first time riding.
In short, I am looking to do a fairly detailed restoration to the bike. I will also modify the ride height parameters to accommodate my tip-toeing while seated on the bike. I can handle shaving the seat a tad. Any suggestions regarding the suspension? If I could somehow lower the...
Anyone had a chance to check one of these out yet?
I test drove one tonight, a fairly basic model, only painted wheels and a moonroof for options - what a fun little car. Very nimble handling, smooth shifting, decent power and good roll on at almost every part of the rev range. The myTouch system was nice, as was the sound system. Great brakes.
The sound symposer I thought would be awful but it was pretty reasonable and sounded nice. Factory has an option for recaro seats, but at 2k over...
I am considering the purchase of a 175cc twin, either a CB175 or CL175. Or, a 350cc twin (CB350 or CL350). Aside from the obvious differences of the 350 having almost twice as much power, and weighing about 80 lbs more, I'm looking to hear what people think of these two bikes, esp. those who have ridden both.
I'm not looking for a major project, but hopefully something that is good cosmetic condition that maybe needs a battery, carb cleaning, and tires to put it on the road. From...
Due to life getting in the way, I only have a little over 6000 miles on it in daily use as my full time transportation. The only issues have been one loose bolt, and an end pulling off the parking brake cable with no time lost.
It averages 37 mpg, the OE Heidenau K28 pusher tire still has better than 1/3 of its tread left, its required no attention or tinkering other than the specified services, and an occasional adjustment of the parking brake.
[email protected] 7.0 Turkey Bay Edition!
The date is set and this time we're making it easier on the dirt bike crew. Availability at our usual camping area at Energy Lake Campground is extremely limited, so we're going to "rough it" with primitive camping at the Turkey Bay OHV Area and Campground.
If you've joined us before, this is the same laid-back group you know and love (of course you do). If you've never joined an [email protected] weekend, come join us, get to know a great group...
I’ve received my 80,000 mile patch from the Harley Owners group. This is the number of miles I’ve ridden the Harley-Davidson motorcycles I’ve owned over the years. Next patch is for 100,000 miles. It may take a couple years, but I’ll get it!
Here’s a couple pictures of my vest will all the patches. I’ve added and removed several over the years.
I am trying to plan a ride with a couple of buddies to ride all or the best sections of the Continental Divide this year.
Just looking for a few suggestions for the following questions.
1- What is the best time of year to tackle it?
2- Are DRZ 400’s up to the task with camping gear etc.?
3- What are some of the best states to ride through (if you had to pick for most scenic).
4- Best choices for GPS maps and devices?
There are a million and one opinions on the web for these...
